Watercolor Bluffs

The bluffs in southeastern Minnesota are a subject I often return to. I like the contrast between the yellowish limestone and the trees, all of it both softened and structural. I did this one from a photo, experimenting using watercolor for landscapes. Usually I use watercolors for journals (e.g. the Senegal Journals) or abstracts.
